H&V Local Marketing Campaign

Yesterday, in the home city of Halloween & Vine, Petaluma had their coveted "Butter & Eggs" parade.  H&V Show Partners, Lesley and Stephanie (along with Alumni Artist Amelia Schaefer of Sweet B Folk Art) marched in the parade with an 8' banner advertising H&V, Stephanie dressed as a witch and Lesley wore a vintage men's suit and a brand new Jorge de Rojas Day of the Dead head.

They passed out magnets with H&V info on them and report it was a smashing success.

We are working hard to educate Petaluma on our art show.  There are collectors in the area that we know would love to see all the hand-made, one-of-a-kind Halloween works of fine folk art and jewelry so we're are getting the word out!

Like last year, there will be many banners around the area and posters as we get closer to show time - September 28th.  We'll have a full page ad in Art Doll Quarterly this year, as well.

Resource Post: Rust Anything, including paper and plastic

My friend, Robert Eberz, just turned me on to this Katalina Jewelry blog touting a line of rusting products.  I haven't tried these yet, but thought it was interesting enough to re-post.  Please take a look if you are into rust patinas.  She shows several objects, that once painted with an iron-infused paint, can then be rusted naturally or encouraged with a solution.  She rusts sea shells, paper tags, plastic, resin.......  Anything that can be painted can be patina'd with rust.

Hope some of you can use this!

Best witches,
Dennis

We have new look here at Halloween & Vine!  Thanks to our website contractor, David Everett of DHE Design (www.dhedesign.com and Chicken Lips - www.chickenlips.biz), a new look is born!

David created our new wall paper (see pic below) and we couldn't be happier.  So fun!

Halloween & Vine is committed to raising the bar for our show and taking it to new levels.  Evolution is at play and we hope you love the changes.

New artists are being added all the time and we'll be announcing our 2013 Artist line up soon!  In the meantime, you can catch clues and mini-announcements on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/halloweenandvine) or check out our soon to be remodeled website at www.halloweenandvine.com.
